Awareness CSR Campaign: Power Banks Safe Disposal

Dear Eduwis Community,⁣

As we start the new year and with Chinese New Year just around the corner, many of you may be doing some spring cleaning and might come across some malfunctioning power banks at home. Eduwis would like to take this opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of disposing power banks properly and safely.⁣

Most power banks contain lithium-ion batteries, which are flammable if damaged, crushed or short-circuited. If a power bank is thrown in the trash and crushed, it can overheat, catch fire, or, in rare cases, explode!⁣

We urge everyone to practice safe disposal of power banks. Instead of throwing them into the normal trash, please take them to registered collection centres or authorised e-waste recyclers: https://ewaste.doe.gov.my/index…/about/list-of-collectors/

Remember: Power banks are e-waste, not trash. They should never be thrown in the regular trash. Wrong disposal, real danger. Share this with your friends and family!⁣
